Structural holes of the teeth usually caused by bacteria in the mouth and from poor oral hygiene. Cavities may run in families and are more common among people with conditions associated with dry mouth (such as Sjogren's Syndrome).

Symptoms

Tooth pain, jaw pain, facial pain, cold or heat intolerance of teeth, gum swelling.
