About Urinary tract malformation

There are a many different types of urinary tract malformations. The great majority are congenital, and are diagnosed when the patients is still young. Some occur after surgery or after instrumentation of the ureter.

Symptoms

Painful urination, frequent urination, recurrent urinary tract infections.

Tests & Diagnostics

A history and physical exam will be performed. Additional tests, such as ultrasound and/or CT scan, will be done to establish the diagnosis.

Common tests: MRI, Urinalysis (UA), Ultrasound.

Conventional treatment summary
