About Symptomatic dermatographism

Dermographism is a normal body reaction common in people who have allergic tendencies. The name `dermatographism` means writing on the skin. When dermatographism occurs, a stroke or scratch on the skin causes a puffy red line to appear. This resembles a `hive.` 2-5% of people have this skin response to scratching.
