Scrotal swelling, tenderness , blue-purple discoloration of scrotum.Tests & Diagnostics
A history and physical exam will be performed. An ultrasound is done to rule out an associated torsion of the testicle.Common tests: Complete blood count (CBC), Ultrasound.
Conventional treatment summary
Most will resolve on their own. Scrotal hematomas can become infected (red, hot, increased pain). Infected hematomas will require antibiotics.Medical specialties
