A disorder characterized by an unpleasant, temporary disturbance that occurs while traveling. Symptoms include dizziness, nausea and/or vomiting. The symptoms become worse with any head movement, and lessen when the eyes are closed.Symptoms

Medications to help prevent and relieve symptoms include scopolamine patch (Transderm Scop) or pills (Scopace); anti-emetics such as promethazine hydrochloride (Anergan, Phenergan) and ondansetron (Zofran); and antihistamines such as dimenhydrinate (Dramamine), diphenhydramine (Benadryl), and meclizine (Antivert).Medical specialties
