A virus that is a common cause of upper respiratory tract infections. The virus can also cause gastroenteritis and conjunctivitis. These viral infections are common in children and can be very contagious.Symptoms

Therapy is aimed at relieving symptoms and reducing inflammation. Treatment includes: observation, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications/NSAIDs (ibuprofen/Motrin or Advil, naproxen/Naprosyn), and acetaminophen (Tylenol). Steroids may be prescribed for eye involvement.Medical specialties
