About Brown recluse spider bite
The bite is poisonous causing pain, and ulceration at the site. The scientific name for the brown recluse is Loxosceles reclusa. In the United States, this spider is most commonly found in the South and Central states. The spider has been found in several large cities outside this range and prefers dark, sheltered areas. The spiders have a characteristic violin pattern on the back of the body part to which the legs attach (cephalothorax), and the base of the violin is oriented toward the head of the spider. They are 1/4 to 1/2 inch in size and yellowish-tan to dark brown in color.Symptoms
Fever, chills, itching, fatigue, reddish or purplish color in a circle around bite, sweating, ulcer in the area of the bite, coma, blood in urine, jaundice, kidney failure, seizure.Tests & Diagnostics
