About Generalized anxiety disorder
Chronic and recurrent episodes of anxiety. It is a psychological disorder in which anxiety and fear are so severe they prevent a person from performing their normal daily activities. The exact cause of this disorder is not known but it is felt to be a combination of genetic and environmental factors.Symptoms
Anxiety, constant worry, panic, dread, difficulty concentrating.Tests & Diagnostics
A history and physical exam will be performed. Tests to rule out other cause of the symptoms may be done.Common tests: BHCG, Complete blood count (CBC), Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), CT Scan, Urinalysis (UA).
